Resurrection Trail Alaska by Snowmachine

The pass is beautiful in winter. Trees are completely frosted and heavily laden with snow. The narrow trail that leads alongside the mountain appears as a tunnel of twisted limbs and branches as the forest droops low from the weight finding a place to rest directly in our path. Penetrating these dense sections takes an act of faith and courage. Blinded by the bramble, protecting eyes and face, the kids throttled up their machines and pounded through. The trees nearly tossed us from our seats taking only hats, goggles and GoPro cameras. Our New Year's celebration began with a victory around 10:00 PM as we made it to the cabin for the night.
